Form Wizard Pro - Using submitted form data in the subject line of the email

Hi,

I'm a newbie to both MojoPortal and Form Wizard Pro having just inherited an intranet site.

We have a form where users can submit faults to the maintenance team and it would be good if some of the data submitted on the form could be shown in the 'Subject' line of the email. This way the maintenance team can view a list of new emails and prioritise who will do each job without having to open each email.

For example one of the questions is the building the fault is in. If the answer to this question appeared in the subject line then only the maintenance guy in that building would need to open the email.

Has anyone else come across this requirement and if so did you manage to work out how to do it?

Cheers

Matthew

Re: Form Wizard Pro - Using submitted form data in the subject line of the email

Hi,

Sorry for the delayed response, mt Dad passed away this past Sunday and I have been offline a lot.

In Form Wizard Pro (assuming you are using the latest version of it and the latest version of mojoPortal) you can set a specific notification subject in the settings but it isn't populated by the submitted data. If you are a developer you could implement a custom form submission event handler which would give you complete control to customize and send your own notification based on your own logic. There is also a setting to disable our built in notification if you do that so that only yours will be executed.

You can find your mojoPortal Version and Form Wizard version under Administration > System Information and compare it to the latest version listed on the Form Wizard Pro product page. You could also upgrade to both the latest mojoPortal and the latest Form Wizard Pro, but you would need the login credentials on this site for the person who purchased Form Wizard Pro in order to get the free upgrade from purchase history. You can also try Form Wizard on our demo site if you are using an older version on your own site so that you could see any differences in functionality.

Hope that helps,

Joe
