Edit / Settings missing

Edit / Settings missing

I'm not sure what I've changed, but logging in as any user including the Administrator on any of my sites (multi site installation), I am unable to edit content modules or settings. The buttons for settings / edit just isn't there. 

I can still access all administration functionality.

I would check your roles and make sure you really are in Administrators role. Possibly the content is locked down to Administrators only.

Other than that I would also view the source of page to see if maybe the edit links are really there, it could be a problem like white text on a white background or something like that which would make the links invisible.

This is strange. 

This site is accessible via two domains, one was allowing me to edit, the other wasn't allowing me to edit regardless of user / role. 

I just cleared the cache and it's allowing me to edit again.
