Form Wizard Auto Generated Notification Blocked By Yahoo Groups

Hi,

I have a site that was developed for a non-profit that has three applications that are need to be automatically pushed out to our yahoo group. However whenever a form is completed and sent to the yahoo groups email everything is stripped out and a blank email comes through.  We have tried sending to msn and forwarding to the group, but it is still stripped.  Has anyone run across this before and have a solution?

The site is www.mhwr.org and the applications are the adoption application, the foster application and volunteer application.

Thanks!

Re: Form Wizard Auto Generated Notification Blocked By Yahoo Groups

Something like that is most likely something Yahoo is doing. They may have some over zealous spam filter or they may not like the mail server or address that is sending the message.

But if the message is received intact at msn, it sounds more like some kind of over zealous content filter at Yahoo. Perhaps there are key words in the message that it doesn't like.

Re: Form Wizard Auto Generated Notification Blocked By Yahoo Groups

Hi Joe,

That is what we were thinking and it seems that it doesn't like the link that the form wizard puts into the automatically generated email.  I have tried to have the form sent to our startlogic/discountASP email and then forwarded on to the yahoo group from there, buit it still filters out the content.

Do you know is there anyway to have just a plain text email generated without any hyperlinks in it?

Pam

Re: Form Wizard Auto Generated Notification Blocked By Yahoo Groups

Unfortunately there is not a way to configure it to send only plain text at the moment. I've just logged a to do item in our project tracker to add this in a future update to Form Wizard.

The only way you could do it currently is by disabling our built in notification and sending your own from a custom form submission handler.

I will add this forum thread to the project tracker and post again on this thread once it is available.

Hope that helps,

Joe

Re: Form Wizard Auto Generated Notification Blocked By Yahoo Groups

Hi,

I forgot to update this thread but going through the project tracker I noticed it. The current version of Form Wizard Pro has a setting to use plain text email.

Thanks,

Joe
