Is there a way to use choose a different skin for ie7 and ie8, like the setting in the user.config where you can change the skin for mobile?
I have created a skin using artisteer 4 however in ie8 the positioning of the items is completely wrong, so I created a new skin using artisteer 3 but I want to use it only on ie7 & ie8.

No there is not a way to use different skins based on the web browser.
I suggest upgrade to Artisteer 4.1 and use the latest version of our skin exporter plugin, it works better than it did in Artisteer 4.
