Modification to permission levels and contributing to core Mojo code

Hey Joe,

Our company has a need to further modify Mojo to allow a user to be able to add/edit pages and features, yet still must submit HTML Content for approval.

Basically we have found we need a middle ground between users who can only Create Drafts : no access to Edit this Page/Page Settings/File Manager, etc., and users who can do everything including approve content.

First, is this something you would consider adding? And, if not, if we developed this functionality would you consider adding it to the core Mojo code?

We're hesitant to fork our local code too much and make it time consuming to merge in your updates.

Some background: we are a .NET shop with 20+ developers (80 total employees), and we have already made several custom features and modifications to Mojo. http://www.vc3.com

We would also be willing to contribute our other customizations. We created a function that will automatically place an HTML Content feature on a new page when created. We also created a custom feature that is an Alert message that launches Colorbox to display an emergency message upon page load - uses the WYSIWYG editor, and also has options to show only once or every page visit for each visitor.

Thanks
Tim

Here's a couple of our Mojo sites:

Re: Modification to permission levels and contributing to core Mojo code

Hi Tim,

I can't make any blanket promises about inclusion of your changes, but I'm certainly willing to consider them on a case by case basis, subject to code review.

The first step would be to get contributor agreements on file for any developers that would be involved and from someone in authority at your organization who can vouch that code implemented by you or others as part of your work for your employer can be contributed.

You can find a pdf of the agreement on our contributor page.

I will need the signed forms on file before I can look at any code you would like to contribute.

Best,

Joe
