Contact Form - View Messages

My contact form has different "departments" one can send a message to.  When looking at the view messages, it doesn't say which "department" or emails it went to.  Would it be possible to add that to the view message screen somewhere?  Thanks.

The reason I ask for this,  I got a message today, but no email (I am on one of the lists).  I want to make sure the "department" who got the message responds.

Thanks!

Re: Contact Form - View Messages

Hi Jonathan,

First thanks for the beers!

Currently the to email address is not persisted in the database so there is no way to show it in the view messages dialog.

To be honest, I'm not likely to add that to the built in Contact Form but would be willing to add it to Form Wizard Pro which is meant to support more advanced contact form scenarios. The sale of the add on features is how I make my living so for selfish reasons I don't want to make major improvements to the free features that compete with my add on features because that would canabalize sales. A developer could clone the free contact form and modify it to their needs.

Best,

Joe

Re: Contact Form - View Messages

Thanks Joe.  As I work on my companies intranet (using MojoPortal), I try my hardest not to post a request until I find an answer.  Some times that doesn't work.  You do make a good point about cloneing the feature and adding my own ideas.  I have a couple of projects that other people might use, but not sure of my code writing abilities (making it efficient or clean).

Speaking of Form Wizard Pro and cloning, that product is very close on what I would like to do, but need some of the fields to load and validate to a separate database using stored procedures.  For example, I have a new item request form, it would first see if the item number wasn't already in the system, and help look up the vendor or unit of measures allowed.

Thanks for your help.
