I formed Source Tree Solutions to offer development services and support for web sites and applications based on mojoPortal.  By building on mojoPortal you can take advantage of its existing infrastructure for functionality like security, navigation, skinning, localization, personalization, and search, as well as the various content management and community features already implemented in mojoPortal.  That means less development effort for your custom application.  By hiring me, the primary author of mojoPortal, you get the most experienced and qualified developer for mojoPortal applications.  You'll also be supporting my ongoing efforts to make mojoPortal even better.

Software Development Services

$85 per hour, $65/hour first 40 hours. I am much more productive than average software developers so most of my customers find my rates to be very reasonable. I can handle most projects independently. For larger projects with tight deadlines I can pull in additional mojoPortal consultants from the community at rates to be determined.

Fully Managed Premium Hosting

We can handle all technical aspects of your mojoPortal hosting needs for you. Support for any problems with your site is just a phone call or email away and a real person will respond promptly. If your web site will be important to your business and you don't have the IT resources to manage the technical issues yourself, outsource it to Source Tree Solutions, LLC. As the primary authors and architects of mojoPortal with years of web development and administration experience, your site will be in good hands.

Package Details

• Dedicated Virtual Private Server (VPS) with Windows 2003 Server and 500MB of RAM and MS SQLExpress database or MySql - nothing but your sites will be running on the server. We acquire the server for you through a 3rd party hosting provider. This is a very robust hosting package suitable for important business web sites and e-commerce. If your needs don't justify this level of hosting, consider shared hosting with one of our hosting partners.
• Includes 16 hours/year (or 4 hours per quarter) of setup/support. Standard setup usually takes only 2 hours so you have 14 hours (with a 1 year plan) typically remaining which can be applied toward skin development or custom feature development or just saved for support requests. Unused hours can be carried over to the next year or billing cycle. Additional hours can be purchased for $75/hour. You can also ask questions for free in the Public Forums and we try to respond promptly but don't guarantee response times to questions there.
• Standard setup includes server configuration, site installation, email configuration, and google analytics setup for traffic reporting (a google account is required to view the reports)
• Automated daily backups of site and database.
• Guaranteed 24 hour response to your support requests. Actual response times are usually within a few hours if reported during 9-5 pm Eastern Time. This doesn't mean we can guarantee resolution of your issue within 24 hours but we strive to solve your problems very quickly and in actual experience we usually are able to resolve problems within hours. We want to make you happy because happy customers make referrals.
• If you have a domain name you must provide us access to the DNS administration or point your domain to the ip address we provide with your server. If you don't already have a domain name we recommend you purchase it through Yahoo Domains or Network Solutions. Both of these allow you to designate a technical administrator so we can take care of things for you. We can also handle the domain registration for you or assist you with it if needed but you must pay for any costs incurred.
• If you later decide you want to manage the server yourself or with your own qualified staff, you can terminate service with us at any time with 30 days notice or by non-renewal with notice. We will arrange to trasnfer the VPS account from the 3rd party host to your billing. Any unused support hours for the current billing period will be refunded on a prorated basis minus an early termination fee of $250 if service is terminated before the end of a billing cycle. You understand that failure to renew or make arrangements to assume the server account can result in your site going offline with no possibility to recover. We won't keep paying the 3rd party host for the VPS if you don't pay us. We will of course contact you before discontinuing service so that you have ample opportunity to prevent any loss of uptime or data for your site.

You provide your own hosting. You must provide us administrative access to your hosting or server.

1 year Support Agreement Includes 16 hours. Unused hours rollover and accrue. Additional hours billable at $75/hour if needed. No refunds are offered with this plan.
