How to insert a tweet button into a page on your site

Hello all,

I just realized that one of the things I need to do is to insert a tweet button on most if not all of the pages on my site, especially in my blog so that I an others can post stuff from the site on Twitter.  I see that you have it on here, but my thought is that you did that through the Twitter site itself.  It's through applications, isn't it?  Sort of like on Facebook (but maybe with a bit more accessibility on that part of the site?)  Any direction on this would be wonderful.

It's actually very easy to do in the Blog. In settings, go into Social Settings and enable the "Show Tweet This Link?" check box. That does use the Twitter-provided JavaScript to create the button and set everything up, but you don't need to do any manual intervention.

Oh that seems very easy.  Now how about on other pages like this site has it?

Hi Katherine,

You'll have to add the TweetThisLink control to your skin's layout.master to get the tweet link on every page. See Twitter Controls for use in Layout.Master for more information.

Thanks for the link!  I'll be sure to take a look when I get a chance after I update to the latest version (which, thanks for the reminder that I need to finish up with that.)
