Site Down after upgrade to 2.3.7.5

Hi,

After upgrading my site from 2.3.7.0 to 2.3.7.5 I am getting the following error:.
We're sorry but a server error has occurred while trying to process your request.

The error has been logged and will be reviewed by our staff as soon as possible. It is possible that the error was just a momentary hiccup and you may wish to use the back button and try again or go back to the home page.

The address bar is showing the following:.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks

Phill

Re: Site Down after upgrade to 2.3.7.5

Hi Joe D,

Thanks for the quick response I really appreciate that... I was reading the page but did't make the change for the error messages correctly. (I changed the commented text daahhh)

I am unable to get to any page to be able to read the log file... so for now until I find out how to read the log and get more details here is the actual error message...

Server Error in '/' Application.

Configuration Error

Description: An error occurred during the processing of a configuration file required to service this request. Please review the specific error details below and modify your configuration file appropriately.

Parser Error Message: Could not load type 'mojoPortal.Web.Services.Metaweblog.MetaWeblogger' from assembly 'mojoPortal.Features.UI'.

Version Information: Microsoft .NET Framework Version:4.0.30319; ASP.NET Version:4.0.30319.1

Does that help give you an idea of where I should be looking?

Did I miss something when copying over the new files to the server?

Thanks

Phill

Re: Site Down after upgrade to 2.3.7.5

Not sure exactly what I did... but I have resolved the issue... I refreshed the web.config file and have started to refresh all the files and its working... albeit very slow, but I put that down to me still refreshing files.

Thanks Joe changing the config to show details errors helped.

Thanks
Phill

Re: Site Down after upgrade to 2.3.7.5

Hi Phill,

To read the logfile, download the \data\currentlog.config file using FTP and open it with a text editor.

The error makes me think that you kept your old web.config file or not all of the files got uploaded when you upgraded. If you did keep your old web.config, you need to use the web.config from the release files. If you didn't keep your old web.config, you should try uploaded all of the files from the release again.

Thanks,
Joe D.
