Re: error on xxx.ashx

Hi,

I think you will need to get help from your host to resolve this. There was a similar issue on this thread also at Arvixe and they were able to resolve it.

Hope it helps,

Joe

Re: error on xxx.ashx

thank you..

I'll forward the problem to Arvixe... even if I find it strange because I used Arvixe just following mojoportal home page banner to Arvixe, and so I thought they have not those kind of problems...

well, we will see.. I keep you updated..

thank you so much for your prompt answer

Michele

Re: error on xxx.ashx

hi joe...

well, this is what they worte to me:

Hello,

What version of asp.net are you using? The ashx is already set for 4.0 integrated pipeline. If you are using 2.0 or 3.5, we will need to modify it to use 2.0 integrated pipeline. Please let us know so we can correct this.
Regards,

Clayton Strong
http://www.arvixe.com
Arvixe, LLC

So i tried to load asp4 version of mojoportal.. same version number, thinking that Arvixe runs ASP4...

But I get constantly 500 - internal error and cant go on... I looked on other experience in this forum but not seems a way out..

Can you give me (or just link me) the correct procedure to upgrade from 3.5 to 4 with mojoportal ??

for now, i will ask Arvixe to use 2.0 integrated pipeline... hoping it works

Best regards as always

Michele

Re: error on xxx.ashx

Don't have them change it to 2.0 that will not be work if you uploaded the .NET 4 version of mojoPortal. It might solve it if you are really using the 3.5 version of mojoPortal.

I'm not sure from what you said if you already installed the .NET 4 version of mojoPortal. I think part of the problem is that Arvixe installs mojo from Web App Gallery but that version is for 3.5 .NET and is not ideal for .NET 4 hosting. After Web Platform Install 3.0 comes out of beta our package in the Gallery will be changed for .NET 4 and things should be smoother.

I would keep it at .NET 4 with integrated pipeline mode and install the .NET 4 version of mojoPortal if you haven't already.

Upgrading is fairly straightforward instructions, download the mojo package for .NET 4 from Codeplex then upgrade as described here:

http://www.mojoportal.com/upgrading.aspx

Then at least you will have the .NET 4 package of mojoPortal under .NET 4 hosting and if there are any problems it should be easier to resolve.

Hope it helps,

Joe
