How to configure blog showing up in a news feed on frontpage?

I have been playing with mojoPortal the last few days and it's great. But I have some question. I was looking for a news feature, but after searching here, I found that a lot of people use the blog feature for news.

That's great. I also find info to use the feed manager to have the different blogs showing up on the front page, but after a long time trying different setting, the only thing I can have on my front page is the link to the blogpage. No items at all showing upfrown.

Do any of you have a detailed setup of the feed manager and a blog setting that will fix this, and share it here, please? Like a list of all the settings needed to have this working?

regards,
Svein-Martin Holt, Norway.

Re: How to configure blog showing up in a news feed on frontpage?

Here's how I got it going:

  1. In the blog settings, enable "show feed links" and save
  2. Right-click on the RSS icon, and copy the url shown (e.g. http://yoursite/blog44rss.aspx)
  3. In your feed manager instance, click the "Add/Edit Feeds" link
  4. In Feed URL field, paste the URL from step 2.

That should do it. You can then play around with settings of both the blog and feed manager instances to change how the feeds are displayed in feed manager.

This did the trick:

I did not use the correct url in that field, but now it works.

Thank you for the answer.
