Add Link to Login.aspx

I'm wondering what is the best way to add a link(pdf) to the login page.

I know I could just modify the login.aspx page, but would that work against me if I wanted to upgrade later?

What do you suggest?

Re: Add Link to Login.aspx

You could probably use jquery from your master page to append a link, you would need to come up with a jquery selector that is unique to the login page by inspecting the rendered source you can figure something out. Probably something along the lines of

$('.login div.modulecontent').append('<a href=\"http://yoururltoyourpdf.pdf\" onclick=\"window.open(this.href,'_blank');return false;\">Your Link Text</a>');

This is just concept I have not tested it.

Hope it helps,

Joe

Re: Add Link to Login.aspx

Thanks Joe.

I ended up adding some javascript to the master page to add the link if the user is not authenticated.  It was a user request form.
