404 on local server - same db

Hi Joe,

the url of a detail page in calendar pro is:
http://www.charlottenburger-kiez.de/vernissage--ausstellung-bilder-senegalesischer-straßenkinder-2009-11-30.aspx

on the local server the url is:
http://localhost/mojoUp/vernissage--ausstellung-bilder-senegalesischer-straßenkinder-2009-11-30.aspx
but with HTML 404 although it is the same database.

Is it because of the folder based web?

Best
Matthias

Re: 404 on local server - same db

Hi Matthias,

Yes, if you want to run a copy of your site locally you must keep the url structure the same. It is a root level site on production so it can only run as a root level site directly from localhost on you local machine not from localhost/somefolder

Just remove the virtual directory for mojoUp from IIS and point the default web site directly at that folder.

Best,

Joe
