skin problems - upload -jquery

hi Joe, .. new help.. help !!!

I'm coming up another time with my problem in localhost enviroment: standard local enviroment.. created on XP with microsoft platform installer 2.0 RC and net framework 3.5 sp1, first with 2.3.1.0 (where all worked great) and upgraded to 2.3.1.5 (where all worked great)

now i'm upgrading to 2.3.1.17 (I do it only copying all the downloaded files to the root folder), runned /setup/default.aspx (all ok) and this all happens IMMEDIATELY:

A) file upload does not work

If I try to upload an image from within a page, the Tiny or FCK lets me choose the file, upload, but nothing else... the window shows the directory /mojoportal/data/sites/1/  BUT does not show any standard directory (as before) or loaded file (but it was loaded) ...

B) IE strange behavieur

IE 6.0 suddenly asks me at every step "informations required are not verified, should I continue ?" (or something like this because it is in italian).. and there is no way changing settings of IE protection to override this

ps... Firefox or Seamonkey does not ask for nothing

C) loosing Jquery proprieties

I loosed the Jquery proprieties, meaning the administration menu is all one page, the pages in witch I put for example Accordation-jquery looses the behavior

this happenes with Firefox and Seamonkey

in IE works fine BUT for point B) it's extremely boring to use IE !!

D) using new skins

If I copy some of the new standard semplified css skins from 2.17 to the \data\sites\1\skins.... AFTER I HAVE DELETED THE EXISTING... seems that css files are missing becouse the result is terrible to see (and this applies to the administration panel too)

Instad, if I dont delete the existing.. it all works (may be becouse it finds the color.css and the other how tehy were  in previous versions

NOTE: I DID NOT TRIED ALL OF THIS IN PRODUCTION BECOUSE I DONT KNOW WATHS HAPPEN

Thank you, as usual, in advance..

Michele

Re: skin problems - upload -jquery

A. Did you try to keep your old Web.config?, use the new one.

B. I have no idea what you are talking about.

C. If your using mojoPortal on a local machine and you do not have internet access all the time then you need to download install and configure the jquery stuff to run off your machine instead of the google CDN.

D. Check your mojoportal error logs. View the source of the rendered page get the url for the csshandler.aashx and paste it into the browser navigation to see if css is working or an error is happening.

Hope it helps,

Joe
