Changes after upgrade to mojoPortal 2.3.1.3

Hi Joe,

I upgrade to mojoPortal 2.3.1.3
Now all fonts are larger (same skin - my own - with the same styletext.css as before) and in FCKEditor the whole Text is in Times and there is no drop down menue anymore to change the font.. Any idea?

Greetings
Matthias

Re: Upgrade to mojoPortal 2.3.1.3

Hi Matthias,

You must have upgraded from a fairly old version. About the skins, see http://www.mojoportal.com/important-skin-changes.aspx

and about the FCKeditor toolbars see http://www.mojoportal.com/faq.aspx

Hope it helps,

Joe

Re: Upgrade to mojoPortal 2.3.1.3

Hi Joe,

thanks for your answer.

>> You must have upgraded from a fairly old version.
I upgrade from 2.2.9.5 MySQL.

Concerning the FCKEditor:
I appreciate that it is actually a bad practice to change the font here, but what can I do to see the font in the editor that is actual defined in the css of the skin - like it was before - and not allways Times?
And when I define a style - i.e. .red  for a red text - and add it as new style in Content Style Templates, then choose it from the menu, the color too don't appear in the editor and I don`t know whether or not the style is actual applied, bevore I do not save and close the editor.
What can I do to see what I get in the Editor again?

Best
Matthias

Re: Upgrade to mojoPortal 2.3.1.3

If you made the correct changes to your skin as indicated in the article then the editor should use the same css as the site. If you try demo.mojoportal.com you will see the style in the editor is working. Only thing that can't look the same in the editor is the javascript stuff like jQuery tabs etc.

You should compare your layout.master file to included skins and make sure you have added a style.config file and make sure it includes your css files in its list of css files.

Hope it helps,

Joe

Re: Upgrade to mojoPortal 2.3.1.3

Hi Joe,
is 05:12:43 your correct local time? When do you sleep?

I think I am a little bit slow on the uptake today (very hot and humid here).
The only thing I know until now is that it is actually my skin that is wrong.
In the beginning of design month ago I set the two keys CombineCSS and MinifyCSS to false.
Now, when I set them to true it results in a "css-less" view like the printer friendly ...
But in styleshout-brightsideoflife for instance everything is in order.

When I am able to grasp what you told me (or not :-) I will tell you.

Until then
Cheers
Matthias

Re: Upgrade to mojoPortal 2.3.1.3

Hi Matthias,

Thanks for the beer!

Yeah, I've been waking up early lately, can't help it, I get so excited about things I'm working on sometimes I can't stop thinking about it and then I have to get up and work on it.

Cheers,

Joe

Re: Upgrade to mojoPortal 2.3.1.3

Hi Joe,

boon ore bane?

What ever the mistake was, after I copy the styleshout skin once more and make the changes I do before, it was gone.
But I must give the skin another name than before! With the same name, the error comes again

Another Site I am knitting was unaffected by the upgrade.

I hope one of these two sites is be done soon (too many deciders ;-) so that we can drink some beers to it.

Best

Hi Matthias,

What was the name of the skin that caused a problem?

Best,
