Formatting of GridView in custom module

All,

I have created several custom module which use GridView and DetailsView. The development was a snap - this mojoPortal is really quite awesome.

I ran into one minor issue: I used the BackColor property within (for example) the EditRowStyle section, but this has no affect. To set the row colors, fonts, etc., is it necessary to define a CSS class and assign a CssClass to these elements?

Re: Formatting of GridView in custom module

Creating a class did not help either. It seems that the formatting attributes I am supplying are being over-written.

Please help me to resolve this problem!

Re: Formatting of GridView in custom module

Hi,

To use properties like BackColor you may need to put EnableTheming="true" SkinID="somethingnew"

I generally use only CSS and not ASP.NET themes because they render as inline styles and that bulks up the markup.

Hope it helps,

Joe

Re: Formatting of GridView in custom module

Joe,

I tried creating a CSs class and assigning it in the EditRowStyle section. This did not seem to help. Would your suggestions help in this case?
