Several newbie questions

All,

Found mojoPortal today and am very impressed. Looks like a great system.

I have several questions, all of which are probably related to skinning:

  1. I followed the instructions here, http://www.mojoportal.com/whereisthesitelogo.aspx, but the logo still does not appear. I emptied my browser cache, deleted all of the .NET temporary files, and still nothing. I also tried both IE and FF. Any suggestions?
  2. I do not plan to allow other users to enter content on the site. As such, I would like to have the login screen only appear on a 'hidden' page, i.e., one that does not show in the menu/site-map. The 'hidden' page part I have figured out - can you offer some guidance regarding hiding the "Sign in as:..." line, etc?
  3. The information in the footer - I assume that this is controlled via editing the skin as opposed to a settings screen?

Re: Several newbie questions

OK. Figured out the answer to #1 - was editign data/skins, not data/sites/1/skins

Re: Several newbie questions

Hi,

#2 is the WelcomeMessage control in layout.master, you can remove it.

#3 is correct assumption.

HTH,

Steve

Re: Several newbie questions

Steve,

Thanks. Regarding WelcomeMessage: Once I comment this out, what do I do to allow myself to login?

Re: Several newbie questions

Welcome message is the part that says Signed in as, it doesn't do login.

If you also removed the login link from layout.master then to login you just have to navigate manually to /Secure/Login.aspx

HTH,

Steve
