Customise blog page

I don't know if this is the correct place to ask, but I wonder if it's possible to customise a blog page. Or pages of the forum.

Now, I have a blog module that I use for showing news. And on the page where the blog module is located, I can put things in the left/right column other things. But when I clikc on one of the items, I would like to see again those items (like google ads).

Is this possible?

Stef

Re: Customise blog page

Its not currently possible to show other page content on the blog detail or forum detail pages. Its really never occurred to me as desirable to do that, but I think it might not be difficult to make it possible for those who want to do that. I will look into it when I get a chance.

For google ads I usually put them in the layout.master of the skin so they don't have to be maintained on each page.

Best,

Joe

Re: Customise blog page

Hey Joe,

I know I can put google ads in the layout.master, and for most of my sites, I do it that way, but that is not the best way to earn money .
I did some research and it's better to do it different. But the google ads are only an example.

Thanks
Stef

Re: Customise blog page

I'm working today on moving the blog out of the core projects into the mojoPortal.Features projects. After I've completed that surgery I'll take a look at adding an option for this. I have a plan for it and don't think it will be difficult.

Best,

Joe
