  • What operating system were you running when the bug appeared?
  • What database platform is your site using?
  • What version of mojoPortal are you running?
  • What version of .NET do you use?
  • What steps are necessary to reproduce the issue? Compare expected results vs actual results.

problem setting up the application on 1and1 shared host

I am using the latest version of the application and the setup on my local server is fine. When I tried to setup it up on the 1and1 shared host server I got the following error message:

(I am pretty sure the application is set to run under framework 4.5)

Server Error in '/' Application.

Security Exception

Description: The application attempted to perform an operation not allowed by the security policy.  To grant this application the required permission please contact your system administrator or change the application's trust level in the configuration file.

This security exception sounds like an issue of medium trust hosting. We have a separate download package of mojoportal 2.4.0.9 that is configured for medium trust hosting. I would try install that package. Look for the package on the github download page that is named with "mediumtrust"
