User Download Log

Hi,

On our site we'd like to create a form that would allow a user to view a log of downloaded files. Does mojo write its own access logs, or should we develop a module that reads the IIS access logs?

Thanks,

Ted

Re: User Download Log

The Shared Files module can show a count of how many times each included file has been downloaded, which could be what you mean by "view a log of downloaded files". If you need to know who precisely downloaded what, you could perhaps clone and enhance that module. IIS logs will not tell you which authenticated user downloaded what, except by i.p.

Doh ... good point about the IIS log. Thanks Crispin for your pointer to the Shared Files module. BTW, a very good cider is named after you! :-)

Re: User Download Log

I'm guessing the cider was named after the variety of apple, and it was the apple that was named after me. I was named after the patron saint of shoemakers, on whose day Henry V was victorious at Agincourt, but this could be a load of old cobblers.
