eventcalendar pro and pencil or other

Hi Joe

running 2.4.0.4 and I have a skin problem

If I do create Eventcalendar Pro on left panel, giving it a long title (for example: "eventCalendarproTest on very long title to see pencil") and put show title = yes, it all works but the pencil, administration icon and so on are not more shown (I think because a lack of space in module title)... the same behaviour if I use list item and not icons

I've replicated it on demo site

I think its a partial bug generated by artisteer (I use 41, but 42 is the same)

Do you have a workaround ?

I cant tell users that they have to put short titles if they want to have the possibility to add an event...

none of the artisteer skins show pencil icons for edit, they show links not icons. I don't see any problem on the demo site. You put a long title for the calendar but the links are still there to get to settings or add events. only really old mojoportal skins show pencil icons for edit links.

but yes with any skin you have to be reasonable about what you put in a side column, some features really need to be in the middle, or else you have to make the side column much wider or use a very short title

I've replicated it on https://demo.mojoportal.com/events  putting a new calendar on left side

...really I do not see links (even if they are still there )

hmmmm no workaround that is differento ta make left culumn larger or put eventcalendar in central page ?

artisteer skins use css like overflow:hidden on side columns so it will chop anything that is too big

you can try css modifications but I don't think it will produce good results.

best solution is to either put the feature in the center column or make the side column wider

I do not know any other solutions
