How to delete a site from the site list?

Hi,

I am in the throws of begining to start using mojoPortal as a multiple site manager.  I created 4 sites and I see them under the mojoportal1 | Data | Sites | 1,2,3,4 I also see them on the Administration | Site List | 1,2,3,4, (names actually).

Site #2 was a mistake and I would like to delete it or at the very least make sure it is never visible.  I found the "Site Is Closed?" and checked it.

I would like to know that the site is never actually visible or can be found, not just a message saying "Site is Closed"?

Thanks
Phill

Re: How to delete a site from the site list?

Hi Phillip,

You can add a key to your user.config: <add key="AllowDeletingChildSites" value="true" />

Then log in to site 1 on your installation, and go to administration -> site list -> site 2 (settings). At the bottom there should be a 'delete' button you can hit.

On the same page before hitting delete you can move to the "host name mapping" tab. If there are no host names mapped to the site, it will never be visible, so that is an alternative to actually deleting the site if you want to keep anything that is on that site without it being visible.

Hope this helps,
-Isaac
