Feed Manager showing old events from calendar feed

Is there some way to get the Feed Manager to not show posts (events) that are in the past? I am using the Feed Manager to show Upcoming Events which come from the Event Calendar Pro RSS Feed. I found the "Show Posts up to this many days old" option but I can't set it to zero. I have set it to 1 which just shows events that are a day old and that is okay but I would like to not show any event that has already occurred.

Thanks,
Joe

Re: Feed Manager showing old events from calendar feed

It sounds like what we need is a setting on the Event Calendar Pro to exclude past events from the outbound feed. Would that work for you?

Best,

Joe

Hi Joe,

Just and fyi to let you know I just uploaded Event Calendar Pro 0.0.2.2 and past events are no longer included in the RSS feed.

Joe

Re: Feed Manager showing old events from calendar feed

Joe,

I upgraded to the 0.0.2.2 version but now I can't add new events. I have tried adding both repeating and non-repeating events. I am receiving the following error in the log.

2009-11-02 13:21:55,460 ERROR mojoPortal.Web.mojoBasePage - 64.57.210.112-en-US - /Events/EditEvent.aspx?mid=97&pageid=29
System.TypeLoadException: Method 'set_TaskName' in type 'sts.Events.Web.Components.CreateRecurrenceTask' from assembly 'sts.Events.Web.UI, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' does not have an implementation.
   at sts.Events.Web.UI.Controls.EventEditor.SetupRecurrence(EventCalendar calendarEvent, Boolean deleteOnly)
   at sts.Events.Web.UI.Controls.EventEditor.SaveEvent(Boolean updateRecurrences)
   at System.Web.UI.WebControls.Button.OnClick(EventArgs e)
   at System.Web.UI.WebControls.Button.RaisePostBackEvent(String eventArgument)
   at System.Web.UI.Page.RaisePostBackEvent(IPostBackEventHandler sourceControl, String eventArgument)
   at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint)

I tried to replicate this on the demo site but I could not. I did notice the demo site is running 0.0.2.1.

Thanks,
Joe

Re: Feed Manager showing old events from calendar feed

Hi Joe,

My bad, can you download it again and just replace the sts.Events.Web.UI.dll and TimelineNet.dll and let me know if that solves it.

Thanks,

Joe

Re: Feed Manager showing old events from calendar feed

No go...same error.

It doesn't matter if I am creating a repeating or non-repeating event. If repeating, onely the first recurrence is created. If non-repeating, the event is created. Both throw the same error.

Re: Feed Manager showing old events from calendar feed

I don't understand how it can be throwing this error. The CreateRecurrenceTask does have a setter for task name but I commented out the reference to set the task name in the editor control so it won't try to localize it and should not even be referencing that property. Its working fine on my local copy but that is a newer build of mojoPortal, but still I can't figure out why it would throw this error even using 2.3.1.9 version of mojoPortal.

I'm pretty much ready to release the next version of mojoPortal, I guess I will have to make a release tomorrow and hope it solves this. I apologize for the inconvenience of this issue, its a mystery to me how this is happening.

Best,

Joe

Re: Feed Manager showing old events from calendar feed

I take it back, suddenly I'm getting the error here, stand by, at least that means I can fix it. Weirdness.
