Unable to run setup. Server error in '/' Application

Hi,

I am trying to run mojoportal in Windows server 2008 x64 web edition with MS SQL SERVER 2008. I have followed the instruction in the readme file. I also looked at another thread with a similar error but they are all HTTP 500 but I seem to have a permission issue. I have given full permissions to the data folder and to the root folder also to test but no go. The error is listed below in detail.

Server Error in '/' Application.

Re: Unable to run setup. Server error in '/' Application

Hi,

You are hosted in a medium trust environment, so you need to use the medium trust configuration.

Hope it helps,

Joe

Hi Joe,

Re: Unable to run setup. Server error in '/' Application

Hi,

Are you sure you have .NET 3.5 SP1 installed?

try changing this to false in Web.config and then delete the DotNetOpenAuth.dll from the /bin folder

<add key="EnableOpenIDAuthentication" value="true"/>

Hope it helps,

Joe

Re: Unable to run setup. Server error in '/' Application

Hi,

I'm pretty sure this article will help you. You need to enable loading a user profile for the application pool identity user. Or if you use Network Service as the user it will work without loading a user profile.

After doing that you "may" be able to undo the previous change.

Hope it helps,

Joe
