User profile info doesn't display correctly if newly compulsory fields not filled in.
User profile info doesn't display correctly if newly compulsory fields not filled in.
OS: Win Server 2008 DB: SQL 2008 MP: 2.3.8.1
- Set-up customProfile.config file for your site. Create some custom fields and set requiredForRegistration="false".
- Add a new user and leave some of the custom profile fields blank.
- Edit customProfile.config and set one of the fields that you left blank to requiredForRegistration="true".
- Go to Admin -> Member List and click "View Profile" for your new user.
- You should find that the custom profile information is not displayed at all - this looks like a bug.
- Click on Manage and then click on update. The validation will then force you to fill in those fields that are required for registration.
- Click on Update to save the user, then try to view their profile again - it should now display OK.

Re: User profile info doesn't display correctly if newly compulsory fields not filled in.
Hi Ian,
I'm not able to produce this problem using the latest version. I'd suggest upgrading and then if the problem continues post the details of your custom profile property.
Best,
Joe
