Files Transfer

Hi,

Our condo association has several files in a condo portal. I need to have the files transferred from the condo portal to our new MojoPortal web site.

There are 10 folders and 49 files.

Steps:

Download all files from the condo portal.

Create the appropriate pages for each group of files in our MojoPortal site.

Upload the files to the new pages.

Verify users can view the pages and download the files.

There's no software development involved. This is just a general web master task.

I assume you have some experience with creating pages and uploading files in Mojoportal.

Not urgent. But would like to get this done in the next few days.

please let me know hourly rate and relate experience.

Thanks, Ed

Re: Mojoportal and galleryserverpro

Hello Søren,

You may have figured out some other solution, but I plan on doing this sometime in 2013. GalleryServerPro is about to release a whole new version, and I'm waiting for that before attempting this.

The issue revolves around the fact that MojoPortal has developed it's own membership provider system, while GSP uses the default asp.net provider.

An intermediate option is to use something called SlideShowPro.net. This allows you to create an entire gallery (they can host your photos, or you can) and embed a control on the MojoPortal page. It works, I've tried it.

If you are still interested in the programmatic approach, keep in touch and I'll be happy to share my integration with you.

Need a developer for a small project on a quick timeframe

I'm currently converting an organizational site from Cold Fusion to mojoportal with a MySql backend. I need a little help with something that's more than I think I can do right now:

There are three forms in the site that use Authorize.NET DPM to handle the credit card stuff (the membership form, a book order form, and another form similar to the book order form. I need these converted to still use DPM and Authorize.Net. No transactional information is stored on the server, so they just need to post to authorize.net and handle all the responses (thank you page, receipt, etc.).Â

There are some changes to the membership form but I can explain those later.

I need to be able to just drop this into my existing project so that it builds / compiles and will still be there when upgrades mojoportal happen

If you're interested contact me stumpthegeek at gmail dot com and let me know. What I need to know of course is how much it's going to cost and when I can have it by... sooner is always better.

DM2 Creative / The Design Loft - experienced mojoPortal.com designers

	Hey all

This is a very non-intrusive post just saying that we at DM2 Creative (formerly The Design Loft) are around for mojoPortal design work.

We have designed way too many mojoPortal installs to count and designed this very site you're on. We work with multinational clients and gather great feedback from mojoPortal site owners:

"Throughout the whole web design process Mark/DM2 Creative have responded to and gave good feedback on all my fickle requirements. The end result is a very professional looking website with content I am now in complete control of. If any of my clients require web design services they'll be pointed toward Sheffield!"

 Chris Iveson, codebox.co.th

And a few other mojoPortal sites we've done:

 www.altogetherbetter.org.uk

 www.agpestmanagement.co.uk

We have a pile more and welcome any contact about design work or simply advice on designing for mojoPortal.

Mojoportal and galleryserverpro

	Hallo,

I am using Mojoportal as my website system - www.sejsspejderne.dk (Danish scout group)

We have a lot of pictures (10.000+) - and I don't think Mojoporal is the good enough to control all the pictures with galleryfunctions - so I am planing to use Gallery Server Pro (www.galleryserverpro.com) as our gallery - billeder.sejsspejderne.dk (under construction)

Both system lets the users of the sites create a personal user - but I will like to have the two systems use the same login information and database, so a visitor don't have to make 2 profiles - Gallery Server Pro, has a good administrator guide there also describes how to let Galleryserverpro use another sql database for login - but my own sql and asp.net experties is not enough to make this by my self.

So I will like to know if somebody will give me a estimated price on combind the two systems for login so the user can use her/his login settings from Mojoportal on Galleryserverpro

	Regards

PSD to mojoPortal skin conversion needed

	Hi,

We are looking for a partner that can take PSDs from a designer and convert them to mojoPortal skins.

We are looking for a fixed price and turnaround time that we can build into our pricing and timeline. We understand that the amount of work depends on the design and so we are looking for someone to give a fixed price and timeline that will be sufficient, on average, in the long term. If this is impossible, the next best would be a fixed quote with restrictions, ie $X as long as the design does not include A, B, or C.

If you are interested please contact us at kathryn@fasttrackteam.com and I can send over some examples of simple and complex PSDs to be converted.

Re: Skin from free template

Hi,

I hope someone will bid on your project.

I don't have time to do it myself but I will point out a couple of things about this design.

1. Its a bit narrow limiting your useable screen real estate.

2. The menu is very limited, you can only fit a few top level pages there or it will overflow. Since users can create arbitrary numbers of pages in mojoPortal and presumably you would have child pages beneath the top level pages, the design has nothing to handle that. There is no mouse over sub menu and no vertical sub/child menu illustrated in this design so the designer/developer who takes on this project will have to improvise something for that. Also note that the menu tabs have a fixed width, it does not adapt to the page name length so a long page name could overflow the tab.

Its a nice color scheme, but there is not much "there" there in terms of style details, its very simple. There will be lots of things that need to be improvised like styling the calendar with compatible colors, forums, forms etc.

Best,

Skin for Non-Profit School

I am going to be converting a non profit school's website to a mojoPortal site as soon as I get the code from the current developer. I need some help with the skin. Skinning is an art form I have yet to master. I can never get them to work quite right. I am hoping that someone who has some good skinning skills will volunteer their time to help out a great cause. I'm not receiving any payment for any work I do on the site. If anyone is interested in helping out please let me know.

The current site is here: http://www.kipptulsa.org

They want to keep the same look of the site.

The KIPP school program is basically a privately funded school for disadvantaged inner city youth. This one is for the city of Tulsa, Oklahoma, where the public schools are well below the national average. The KIPP schools meet Monday - Friday from 7:30 - 5, and every other Saturday, and summer school is mandatory. Students for the entering class are chosen from a random lottery at the beginning of each year.
